The micro-shift that could be a gear changer for your church
We recite in the creeds that we are one, holy, catholic, and apostolic church. We view these marks as adjectives, what the church is. But what if we look at them as more dynamic adverbs, what the church is becoming? It could be a positive gear change for the church.
Learning from scripture and China to build God's shalom as exiles in even restrictive contexts
Even in religiously restrictive contexts we have responsibility to actively seek opportunities to build shalom and to pray earnestly for the authorities until we see alternative doors opened for holistically blessing the people around us. This was true for exiles and the persecuted in the Bible, it is true for believers in China. It is true for Christians everywhere.
